Viking Village - Game Demo

For this demo environment I designed and implemented a full interactive audio system using FMOD Studio and Unity.

About this project

For this project, I worked to a brief with the task of designing and implementing audio for a Viking Village environment using FMOD Studio and Unity. The goal was to build an interactive sound system that enhances environmental realism, player immersion, and navigational awareness through appropriate sound design.

I created all the audio myself, including field recordings, foley, and music. The system covers environmental elements like shoreline movement, fire and torches, building areas, and mechanical objects, along with interactive foley for player movement across different surfaces.

I also built an adaptive music system that shifts depending on where the player is in the map, helping to reinforce mood and progression.

Everything responds dynamically to player actions while staying clean and optimised in-engine.

This project pushed me to solve both creative and technical challenges in 3D space — balancing layers, getting smooth transitions, and making each area feel different but still connected.
